At the IFA 2017 conference this week, Western Digital unveiled its first SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I card with 400 GB capacity. This just happens to be the largest-capacity microSD card available on the market, and it comes at a very sacrificial price.
The new 400GB card comes two years after the company introduced its 200GB SanDisk Ultra microSD card, with the new version doubling the storage capacity. According to WD, over 150 billion apps are expected to be installed in 2017, and with the new microSD, users will be able to transfer files up to 100MB/s speed and goes as SDXC UHS-I class of a card. It is rated as App Performance Class A1, a rating that signifies that the card can run apps as well. Designed for use in Android smartphones, drones, cameras, and other devices that use microSD storage.

The company also introduced the SanDisk iXpand Base for iPhones that enable Apple users to automatically back up files and photos on the charger/portable hard drive.

Samsung has official quietly over the weekend, making it the latest addition to the company's popular 'J' series of smartphones. The new Samsung phone is known as Samsung Galaxy J7+, it was spotted on the company's Thailand website revealing specifications, price, and availability as well.

Don’t just keep your modem in bondage when there are various methods available for you to turn it into a universal modem.

Huawei E303 is a well known and widely used mobile broadband device (USB Modem / Data card), it's available in two types Hi-link and Normal. Most of the Huawei E303 modems are locked to one network and they are very stubborn to unlock. Today, we will be solving the problem of unlocking Huawei E303 Modem to accept all networks and SIM cards.

There are two main methods to unlock Huawei E303 Modem, one is free and the other one is paid method. Since most of us like free things, this article will focus on free method. The paid method uses the DC-UNLOCKER, which is already posted here while the free method uses Huawei Code Calculator.

Unlock Huawei E303 Modem Using the Huawei Code Calculator

You will be needed Huawei code this time around. For this method, they can be generated either online, offline or free ones can be found online. Calculating the codes will rely on the Huawei Code Calculator. Here we go!
  1. First of all, find the IMEI number of your modem by checking on the body of the modem. If you don’t find it here, insert your modem into a computer’s USB port and wait for it to launch the interface. Click on the Tools section, then run the Diagnostics. Under the diagnostics check under the Devicesection for the IMEI number.
  2.  Huawei Technologies provides you with two different types of Algorithms namely the “Old Algorithm” and the “New Algorithm.” Both have a different logical sequence and you should know that it is necessary to determine which algorithm will be supported by your modem.
  3. The next step is to determine the type of unlock code for your specific type of modem. To do that, you will need to go to the Huawei Algo Check website, then insert your IMEI number in the dialog box. Hit on SubmitIMEI. You will be shown whether your modem uses the old or new algo calculator.
  4. When the result comes up, you will have a link to go to the algo calculator you want. However, if you cannot access the calculator from that panel, here is how to do it.
The Old Algorithm
This is an online tool specially designed which directly provides you the necessary code for unlocking your Huawei E303 Modem for free. You need to access the site: http://www.modemunlock.com/huawei.php
Once you visit the link, you will be presented with a little dialog box to enter your IMEI number.
After that, hit on the Calculatebutton. You will then be presented with an unlock code and a flash code as well. That simply, you have the unlock code for your modem.
The New Algorithm
The new Algorithm method is also free, but quite complex to follow. You can do it after you have accessed a link and follow the necessary instructions. It uses the Google Plus platform to give you the code you need.
  • Go to this link, where you will find a dialog box requiring your Google Plus email and password. Don’t worry as they won’t store your details.
  • Enter the email and password and click on the Sign Indialog box.
  • In the next stage, enter the IMEI number and the model of the model (E303) and hit the Calculate button.
  • The result will be presented as a +1 button where you will get both the old and new algo codes with the flash code.

MTN has introduced hourly data plans for YouTube video streaming. The YouTube Video streaming Pack is a time based data plan that allows you to watch videos on YouTube from a data enabled device. All MTN Customers can subscribe to any of the YouTube Video Streaming Packs.

Samsung is Now Working on Android 8 Oreo Updates for Galaxy S8 and S8+

Good news for Samsung Galaxy S8 series users. If you own a Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+, it looks like you won't have to wait too long to get an official taste of Android 8.0 Oreo!

According to SamMobile, Samsung has started working on Android Oreo updates for both the S8 and S8+. MultiChoice NG Introduces Pay-Per-View Pricing Model to DSTV/Gotv Subsribers

The issue of adopting the pay-per-view model against the usual monthly subscription model which is obtainable in Nigeria has been a subject of discourse for a while now. Most of the DStv/GOtv subscribers are complaining bitterly about the price reap-off of this current subscription regime and consider it as a cheat and believes that we should only pay for what we consume. 
 
Now, Multichoice Nigeria has announced it would be launching a Pay-Per-View (PPV) option in the country. The company says this would allow subscribers watch some important programms not available on their bouquet. Though, at an extra cost to the willing consumers.
According to the HPR, “Pay TV operation is not like the telecom version where you pay for the amount of airtime you want to use. Pay-as-you-go, as believed by some customers, is not obtainable in the pay TV business,”

“Paying for PPV in Europe and the UK is equivalent to paying for two months subscription in Nigeria. We know Africans love boxing that is why we are bringing the best thing that is happening in the world to Africa.”  
Many subscribers of Multichoice Nigeria's pay-TV service are currently having issues with the company on its fixed subscription regime.

Some of the company’s pay-TV subscribers state that Multichoice should extend the pricing model to over all its bouquets. Consumers say the current pricing regime is  unfair and waste of resources as they usually don’t get the value for their money.
One subscriber lamented bitterly, saying: “Having a pay-per-view could be a good alternative, as to me the current subscription regime is a cheat on me. Initially, I used to do the full bouquet like N13000 ($42.5) and then I just thought I was wasting money and reduced it to around N3000 ($9.8). What I really watch on the DStv is the E!,” said Ms. Olamide, a DStv subscriber.
Another Explorer subscriber of the DStv pay-TV states that: “The current regime is a reap-off on subscribers as we should only pay for what we consume.”

“I feel the PPV thing should work. I suggest this should be based on option as there many channels and for the explorer package where they record some of the best movies for you to watch. Then, how would do this as it would also affect them.”
This might be a good development as there is no sufficient electricity to enjoy the value of your monthly Pay TV subscription.
